About Us

We are the Union for the approximately 3,600 officers, detectives, and sergeants who make up the Metropolitan Police Department in the District of Columbia. 

DC POLICE UNION MISSION STATEMENT

The DC Police Union’s mission is to aid and represent all sworn Union members of the Metropolitan Police Department; to secure improved wages and working conditions; to promote efficiency in the MPD and better service to the public; to advance the science of professional policing, and to publicize the importance of this profession.
